Northern Tanzania
A shallow soda lake below the Ngorongoro highlands, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities and some of the most thought-provoking cultural travel in Tanzania.
Visits here focus on people and landscape rather than big game. Early morning walks with Hadzabe hunters and visits to Datoga blacksmiths are arranged respectfully and with fair community payment.
We are careful to keep these visits small, unhurried and consent-based rather than staged.
