Route Overview

The Northern Circuit begins like Lemosho, then swings around the quiet northern slopes before approaching the summit from the east. It offers more time above 3,500m than any other route.

For climbers who want the most generous acclimatisation and are not counting days, this is the route we recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not if altitude worries you. More nights on the mountain generally means a more comfortable summit night.

The northern slopes see very few climbers, so days three to six are often almost entirely your own.
