Route Overview
Marangu is the classic route, and the only one with dormitory huts rather than tents. It ascends and descends the same path.
Because it is short, acclimatisation is the main consideration. We strongly recommend the six-day version with an extra night at Horombo.
Best For
- Climbers who prefer a bed to a tent
- Wet-season climbs
- Tight schedules
